EtymologyEdit

MiriaEdit

Allies of Dragons unnamed by characters. Referred to by Miria as one of two opposing "alliances." She specifically mentions one alliance allying with the Dragons' Descendents.[2]

Dragon's KinsEdit

"Dragon's Kins" (also Dragonkins) is a scanlation invention meant to distinguish Dragons from their human allies. "Dragon's Kins" are often confused with the Dragons themselves.

The original Japanese text does not mention any blood relationship between the Dragons' Allies/Kins and the Dragons, only that they formed an alliance against the parent power behind the Organization.[3]

VIZ Media does not use "Dragon's Kins."

DescriptionEdit

People allied to Dragons' Descendents. They are human and not Dragons in themselves.[4] Soldiers wear crested helmets, similar to Greek and Roman armies.[5]

HistoryEdit

Miria's theoryEdit

After the engagement with Agatha in Rabona, Miria holds a tense meeting with the Ghosts, Galatea, Clarice and Miata.[6]

The warriors hear Miria's theory—the existence of "an even greater land outside of this one"—the "mainland"—where a 戦火の大陸 (continental war) rages between two alliances. The Anti-dragon allies—the power behind the Organization—versus those allied to Dragons.[7]

Miria refers to the Dragons themselves as 龍の末裔 (Descendants of the Dragon). VIZ translates 龍の末裔 as "Dragons' Descendents."[8]

Little is known about the Dragons, other than the few facts given by Limt.[9] Even less is known about the human allies of the Dragons.

7-year timeskipEdit

LacroixEdit

In Lacroix, Clare and Cynthia fight a female awakened, while Yuma knocks unconscious an Organization search and rescue team looking for Renée. Awakened killed.[10] But Rubel witnesses everything. Later in a private meeting, Cynthia guesses that Rubel is a double agent for the Dragons' allies.[11]

Rubel plays on their sympathies by claiming that Rafaela and Renée are being held captive by Riful. Clare suspects that Rubel is only trying to get them killed.[12]
