EtymologyEdit

Unofficial name. Unnamed by characters.

DescriptionEdit

Awakened hunt led by Hilda.

HistoryEdit

Paburo MountainsEdit

After the death of the Paburo awakened, Miria confesses how she nearly awakened during a hunt.[2] At this point, Miria makes known her aim at seeking revenge against the Organization.[3]

7-year timeskipEdit

DiscoveryEdit

On a rainy night, Helen, traveling with the Ghosts, comes across a lost Claymore sword. Miria recognizes the owner's symbol.[4]

Hilda's huntEdit

Flashback to another day. The leader of the hunt, Hilda, compliments Miria's performance. The two friends vow to work together again.[5] Unknown to Miria, Hilda is near awakening.[6]

Ophelia's huntEdit

Manga and anime diverge here.

MangaEdit

There are two versions. The earlier version in which Miria leads the hunt, and the later retconned version in Extra Scene 2, in which Miria is part of a hunt lead by Ophelia.

In the revised version, Ophelia jokes about a warrior who gave Ophelia a black card. But instead of giving it to the unnamed recipient (Miria), Ophelia tore it up instead.[7]

On a mountain, the hunt engages the awakened, mummy-like with tape-shaped tentacles. Ophelia disables the limbs, while Miria finally beheads the mummy.[8]

AnimeEdit

Similar to manga, except Miria disables limbs. Hilda has rooster-like form.[9]

AftermathEdit

In both versions, Miria realizes the awakened's identity—Hilda, who by her passive resistance, worked with Miria to kill her awakened form, thus keeping her earlier promise to work together with Miria.

In her grief, Miria awakens, with Ophelia waiting to kill her.[10]
