Etymology[]
Unofficial name. Unnamed by characters in the original Japanese text. Improvised name derives from appearance of hair.
Gaheh[]
English[]
"Gaheh" appears in one English language scanlation, but even there it is not used as a proper name.
がヘっ[2] gahetsu (gaheh) is a burping/grunting sound made by Dauf, which appears elsewhere in Claymore. The misreading possibly derives from the sound being inside a speech balloon rather than being drawn as a SFX.
"Gaheh" as a character name originated as forum speculation,[3] oft-repeated on forums and reference sites. VIZ Media uses "Bleh" for the sound effect.[4]

Other editions translates がヘっ as "Pah"[5] (de), "Heh"[6] (es-es), "Geh"[7] (fr) and "Gah"[8] (it).
Appearance[]
Giant humanoid form with carapace armor covering the torso. A blade splits off from each vambrace on the arm. Has two pairs of eyes. Hair appears flame-like—similar to the Dragons' Descendents.

Brash, tactless. Provokes Dauf into attacking.

History[]
Early life unknown.
Lautrec[]
Flame-hair appears to lead the Northern Army of 12 awakened beings into Lautrec.[9]
On meeting Dauf, Flame-hair ridicules him for allying with Riful. Dauf responses by firing a Yoma rod through Flame-hair's head. Then Riful and Dauf proceed to destroy all 12 awakened.[10]
