Etymology[]

"Shadow-chaser" derives from 影追い: 影 = shadow, 追い = chase.

Star Comics (it) only describes the technique: Tecnica segreta Inseguimento to dell'ombra (Secret technique to chase the shadow).[8]

Description[]

Nina's sensing ability enables her technique: attack the target by shadowing the Yoma energy signature, until the aura is extinguished.[9]

Nina appears to align her energy with the target's, then her sword arm shadows target's aura. The techinque resembles Galatea's Yoma Energy Alignment and Control.

History[]

Awakened Hunt[]

In the Alfons mountains, a hunt lead by Nina engages a cricket-like awakened. She uses Shadow-chaser to counterattack. When the awakened threatens to kill Nina, her comrades cut off his arms.[10]

Rebellion[]

Cassandra fights Audrey, Rachel and Nina. When Cassandra's Dusteater cuts off Rachel's limbs, Nina attacks with Shadow-chaser.[11]
