Race against timeEdit

Clare senses Riful's aura, as well as Renée's. But also a tiny aura, which feels as if it is crossing over from another world.[8]

In the cellar, Renée tries reattaching her limbs as quickly as possible. She senses Luciela x Rafaela awakening, while Riful notices the commotion upstairs. After Riful leaves to see what is happening, Renée gets up and takes her aura suppressant.[9]

CombatEdit

As Dauf and Clare fight, they destroy the castle interior. Clare escapes through hole in wall.[10]

Riful grabs Dauf with her tentacles, stopping him from doing more damage. After he explains what happened, Riful searches for Clare, only to sense Renée's escape. Riful orders Dauf to pursue Renée.[11]

EscapeeEdit

Dauf spots Renée outside the castle. She flees. Dauf tries to pursue her, but she loses him. Riful then destroys all life in the forest—and presumably Renée.[12]

Return to castleEdit

While Riful and Dauf are preoccupied, Clare reenters the castle. She finds the chamber where hangs Luciela x Rafaela.[13]
