Etymology[]
"Zelda" may derive from Yiddish Selig (blessed or happy). Or diminutive of "Griselda," from Germanic elements gris (gray) and hild (battle).
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Wears asymmetrical bob, peek-a-bangs covering face. Pointed ears.
Uniform[]
A shark-tooth-shaped buckle holds 2-layer spaulders on the shoulders.[13] Wears heavily built sword carrier in anime.[14]
Personality[]
Kinder than stern appearance suggests.
Datasheet[]
Class[]
Unknown type. Zelda being a defensive type is fanfiction and forum speculation. Having no Organization datasheet in the "Yoma War Record," her ability and baselines are unknown.
Zelda, a higher-ranking double-digit (No. 24), holds her own till the warriors' last stand.[15]
History[]
Early life unknown.
Battle of the North[]
Member of the battle group in Pieta during the Battle of the North. Assigned to Team Undine: Undine (No. 11), Deneve (No. 15), Claudia (No. 36) and Yuliana (No. 43) .[16]
Engagement I[]
During the first engagement with the three scouts, the Armadillo awakened decimates Team Flora. Team Undine reinforces Team Flora. Zelda avoids the extensible quill attack.[17]
Engagement II[]
Manga and anime diverge here.
Manga[]
Zelda appears in Yuma's flashback. In the banquet hall of the Eastern Inn, Miria holds a meeting with the battle group. She tells everyone to take a half dose of suppressant. If rendered unconscious during combat, a warrior will radiate no aura, making her appear dead to both the Northern Army and Organization.[18]
The Northern Army invades Pieta.[19] Zelda witnesses Rigaldo killing the team captains.[20]
Zelda last appears in the final combat scene, surrounded by Northern Army.[21]
Zelda is presumably dead by Scene 66, though not mentioned by name, nor shown by her sword as grave-mark.
Anime[]
The Northern Army invades Pieta. After losing three members, versus five Claymore warriors, the Northern Army retreats. Rigaldo sequence similar to manga.[22]
Zelda appears among the survivors in the inn lobby scene.[23]
